How does it work?
This mandoline slicer has a foldable leg for you to either use it as a straight mandoline or you can stand it up to use it regularly.
It comes with one of the best features, the safety holder. On this holder there are 4 stainless steel prongs, which help you hold onto your food as it fits perfectly into its guide.
It makes the vegetable slicing smooth and your fingers never coming close to the blades.
This Original Stainless Steel Mandoline Slicer is completely adjustable, there are 4 slicing thicknesses with 3 cutting types and 2 rotatable blades for you to choose depending on the kind of cutting you want it applied.
The first thickness setting with the normal type and the regular blade is the thinnest.
It will help you slice tomatoes, potatoes, onions and cucumbers in a super thin slice uniform and it is mainly used for perfect potato chips and super thin slices of onions for your sandwiches and you salads.
On the right side of the mandoline you will see the Type bar, if you slide it forward sharp teeth will pop up which will allow you to accordingly dice and mince all kind of vegetables and especially onions.
And finally the cutting Blades, the original mandoline is equipped with 2 different blades: a normal blade and a wrinkly blade.
they are the best in the market. rustproof, sturdy, and made of stainless steel.
Example of other slices and cuts:
The crinkle cuts is so popular and it may remind you of the traditionally made potato chips with a small v shape on the inside.
The waffle cuts are very similar to crinkle cuts, but as you can imagine they resemble a traditional waffle.
The Julienne cuts are not as thin as paper like other slices. They are slightly thicker strips, and their thickness can be adjusted.
How to clean my Mandoline Slicer:
The best way to clean a mandoline slicer is to gently wipe it with mild soap and warm or hot water.
If this is done after each use, it should avoid food being stuck onto the mandoline slicer and therefore more in-depth cleaning should not be required.
Or if you are just too lazy simply open its hidden blades and put it in the dishwasher you don’t have to worry about anything.

I have owned mandoline slicers in the past, but never used them much due to 1. too many attachments and the blade not being sharp enough. I am pleased to say I have been using this one daily in my kitchen. Its only one piece with all attachments built-in, that can be changed with levers on side. There are 3 levers to change thickness, crinkle mode and chopping size. The blade is pretty sharp, so I didn’t have to put any effort cutting. Definitely don’t slice without its cover, it’s very sharp (in a good way). Clean-up is easy, I just rinse under warm water. It folds nicely with no fingerprints while storing. Finally, a practical mandoline slicer!
I love to cook and used to do it for work. For a while I was seeking and testing different slicers for my personal use, and I think I finally found a Mandoline Slicer close to professional at an affordable price! I have used different ones, from expensive stainless steel, specialized for professional kitchens to cheap plastic ones. Some of them work, some did not. I was concerned at first about this one, since its body is made out of plastic. But when I actually held the mandoline I was stunned by its sturdiness!
Wow! Six thicknesses, two julienne settings and a reversible blade for “curly cuts”. I’ve had the mandoline slicer less than a week now so I’ve only used it on potatoes and carrots. In my first try, I found I can actually make chips. It cuts that fine. Makes perfect fries and ridged vegetables. Tried to make waffle fries. 1st setting is too thin and 2nd is too thick for well-made waffle fries, and, I presume, any other ‘waffle’ vegetable. However, makes excellent ridged vegetables. 2nd setting still thin enough for chips. Excellent product thank you speedo kitchen.
Ok, so the kitchen tool is a work of art. It’s like a human; you have to understand it first to use it properly; otherwise, your experience will be a fail. My wife was the first one to try it out, and instantly, she hated it! She thought it was useless cause it just didn’t work for her and she hadn’t invested the time to read the instructions properly. However, when it was my turn to use, I got everything cut up within seconds. It seems like a lot to go through the instructions, but it’s so worth it. Every time you are chopping up your vegetables, it saves you 80% of the time spent cutting otherwise. I would highly recommend this mandoline slicer to anybody who’s in the kitchen daily cutting up food. Even works well with deli sandwich fresh meat, that is a complete bonus!
This is my third mandolin slicer. I have a French stainless steel one that is rusted and the blade is dull and hard to resharpen ( one get replacement parts but they are expensive) and it is real hard to clean and a plebeian version with limited capabilities and not well made. This is a really nice mandolin slicer although it doesn’t have all the features of the professional French variety, it has most of the functions, is safe and easy to use use, and is relatively easy to clear although anything with sharp blades is by nature harder to clean. I have had this for about 6 months or more and use it regularly and do appreciate its design and ease of use.
